I am responsible for a sizeable network with over 200 devices. Handling the day-to-day maintenance.  Planning strategies to exploit the savings and gains in productivity through the use of I.T.  I hope to advance by embracing every opportunity to gain practical real world experience, formal and continuous self-study. I’m currently studying for the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer. I am proficient in the following; MSDOS, Set up hard disk, DOS & WIN 3.11, Batch files, Windows 95/98 Installation, troubleshooting, Windows 2000, professional and server Installation, Windows XP, administering, Networking; Cabling RJ45, Thinnet, Network Cards, Hubs, Switches,routers and Bus topology,VPN. Setting up NT workstations and servers. Web page design, FrontPage 98/2000, Some HTML. Familiar with Linux installation, setting up X Windows, MS Office 97/2000/XP applications, PhotoShop 6, Paint Shop Pro 7, Sun Star office. Other skills include - Power Point, Lesson Plans, and Presentation skills, Class support & Helpdesk, PC Maintenance/Repair, Networking.

Work History  
23-7-2002 Hampstead Garden Suburb Institute I.T. and Network Support role responsible for the maintenance and administration of MS Windows Network of around 40 users running a mixture of Windows flavours with office applications, sage accounts, QL database.

July 2001-Sept. 2003 Look Ahead Housing & Care – since 18 July. A volunteery role, part of a small team supporting over 250 concurrent users spread over 32 sites WAN.  Running a Novell 4.11 network and NDS. Using GroupWise for e-mail, MS Windows 95/98/2000 and Office97. Context running on Unix. Help line, Remote Admin using Control IT PC Hardware issues / repairs.

2001 C.I.T.E. (associates) City Ltd. – since 12 June Internal Placement My duties include classroom support as well as general PC/Network support.  Assisted in the consolidation of the network in preparation for their recent move.

1999 -2000 Community Systems Ltd since June 1999 till June 2000 Voluntary basis I have a. 14 weeks of experience supporting users within a classroom environment. I also prepared, planned and presented the PC Maintenance module of the City and Guilds NVQ Level III course.  PC Maintenance and support. Assisted with the installation of their network infrastructure.

1999 Self Employed PC Buddy – since January 1999 till now I currently operate a PC support and repair business, which provides me the opportunity working on veried support issues, both at home and customers premises. I offer tailored solutions to my customer’s support and training needs. Day to day activities include promotion, book keeping, providing quotes, sending invoices, collecting cash.

1991 - 1998 Personal Insurance Agent Pearl Assurance PLC My main duties were selling Personal Insurance, customer service; dealing with enquiries; visiting clients and conducting fact find interviews. I managed profiles, dealt with complaints, made cash collections and prepared weekly accounts.

1986-1991 Transport Manager / Driver Feldline Ltd My main duties were, to arrange clearance of goods through customs & excise. Liaise with warehouse staff for their release, sort into orders, deliver on tight schedule and arrange additional transport and staff when required. Arrange regular maintenance and repairs for vehicles.
